Acre Gold is a new and innovative precious metal brand that seeks to make the buying and owning of gold easier and more engaging for consumers.

This service allows consumers to buy gold through a small monthly fee and accumulate it over time, before having Acre-branded gold discreetly delivered to their doorstep.

The company is founded by a team of fintech experts who are passionate about making gold more accessible and affordable for future generations. They are headquartered in Santa Monica, CA and Boise, ID.

How Does Acre Gold Work?

Acre Gold Product Offerings

Physical gold

Acre Gold offers a unique feature that sets them apart from other gold sellers: the ability to buy gold grams through ongoing subscription payments. It's no wonder this feature has made them an attractive option for many investors. The gold bars are made of .9999 fine gold and are labeled with the Acre Gold logo.

Each bar comes with a soft-touch box for storage. Once the cost of the gold and any applicable fees have been covered, the bar will be shipped to you.

The subscription service provides an opportunity to accumulate gold at an average price and steadily build your stack over time. It's a convenient and affordable way to invest in gold, and we believe it's an option that should be considered by anyone looking to diversify their investment portfolio.

Acre Gold currently offers four subscription plans:

Image
  • 1G: For $30 per month, you can purchase a 1-gram (0.03215 oz) gold bar.
  • 2.5G: For $50 per month, you can purchase a 2.5-gram (0.08038 oz) gold bar.
  • 5G: For $100 per month, you can purchase a 5-gram (0.1607 oz) gold bar.
  • 10G: For $250 per month, you can purchase a 10-gram (0.3215 oz) gold bar, which is the largest bar currently offered by Acre Gold.

Outright Purchases

Acre Gold also offers outright purchases of gold bars, which is oddly, not accessible by navigating the website. It can only be found through Google search.

The cost of the bars is not specified on the website and may depend on the market value. There is no one-time processing fee for outright purchases, but customers will still be responsible for shipping costs and any applicable taxes.

Digital Gold

For those who prefer a digital investment strategy, Acre Gold offers a Digital Gold subscription service. The service allows you to finance a purchase from their gold market and store the gold digitally with Acre Gold once you've paid off the balance.

Storage fees are affordably priced at $1 per month, regardless of the size of your bar. Keep in mind, however, that Digital Gold purchases still include Acre Gold's one-time membership fee, taxes, and shipping/fulfillment fees.

Acre Gold offers four subscription plans for Digital Gold:

  • Acre Digital Gold (1 gram/0.03215 oz) – $30 per month
  • Acre Digital Gold (2.5 grams/0.08038 oz) – $50 per month
  • Acre Digital Gold (5 grams/0.1607 oz) – $100 per month
  • Acre Digital Gold (10 grams/0.3215 oz) – $250 per month

Redeeming Your Digital Metal

If you want to exchange your digital gold for physical gold, there are some rules you have to follow. For example, you need to meet the minimum amount required for redemption and pay processing fees. Also, the exchange rate will be based on the current sales price of digital gold on Acre Gold's website.

Fees

In addition to the monthly subscription cost, there's a one-time $12 signup fee which covers processing. Any overpayments you make will be credited to your account. Payments can be made using Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.

Shipping

When it comes to shipping, most orders are shipped within one business day. However, in rare cases, it could take up to 60 days depending on the delivery method. Taxes and shipping fees are not included in the pricing, so you're responsible for those charges. But don't worry, Acre insures all shipments, so if anything happens while your package is in transit, it's covered by their insurance policy.

Can I Cancel My Order?

If you change your mind before your order has been shipped, Acre Gold does allow customers to cancel their purchase. This flexibility is a great feature that we appreciate. However, once the product has been shipped, refunds are not possible.

In case the shipment has been delayed and hasn't been dispatched yet, canceling your order is still an option, although you may be charged a cancellation fee. Keep in mind that processing fees will also be deducted from your refund amount, if applicable.

Return Policy

If you receive an item that you need to return, you can do it within a five-day window. Any shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, and you will be responsible for any taxes and return shipping costs. However, Acre Gold reserves the right to either find a suitable replacement or refund your money if a replacement is unavailable.

How Is Acre Gold’s Customer Service?

Acre Gold's customer support team is quick to respond to inquiries, but they don't provide many ways to contact them. You can either send them an email ([email protected]) or reach out to them on social media via their Instagram or Facebook accounts.

Their team is highly active on Facebook, providing real-time pricing information for their gold bars. Some customers prefer reaching out to them on social media rather than through the Acre Gold website.

Customer Portal

While the basic customer portal offered by Acre Gold does not allow you to get in contact with customer service, it does allow you to view your current subscription plans, progress, and shipments. You can also cancel your account from the customer portal.
